Day 13 - Missoula, MT to Darby, MT (July 19)

Day 12 was a rest day in Missoula. Then I flew back to the Bay Area.

I was now back on the bike, after having taken a little break where I rode in the Death Ride (hint: it wasn't easy even though I only rode 40% of it) and went to my niece's birthday in San Diego.

Day 13: The last time I did this ride (i.e. from Missoula to Darby, it was very smokey in the Bitterroot Valley. This time, it was nice. Not too hot and more importantly, I had the wind at my back.

On the ride, the grasshoppers returned. In my ride in 2003, I was practically eating grasshoppers.

St. Mary's Mission in Stevensville.

They call it like it is down there in the Bitterroot Valley

It was Logger Days. Sadly I had to leave before the festivities began.
