New Adventure - Southeast Asia

The third part of the trip will be a cycle through Vietnam. With friends, I will cycle from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. Here's a hint of what I will see along the way. Here's an example of the cycling in the cities. Mr. Pumpy gives a good idea of what cycling is like in Southeast Asia and he has a sense of humor. I also like Tim and Cindie's Touring Pages. The Long Ride Home also has some nice photos and thoughts about touring in Southeast Asia.

Cities that will be visited along the way include:

Day 2 - Thahn Han, stay at Sam So'n Beach

Day 3 - Vinh

Rest - Vinh

Day 4 - Thien Cam Beach

New England Wanderings (Sept 21 - 23)

For the next few days, I traveled by car around New England, going from New Castle, New Hampshire to Providence, Rhode Island to Cape Cod.

A Beautiful Fall Day in the Cape.

Here are two of the three sisters. These lighthouses used to be placed all next to each other along the coast, but the coast gave way, so they perserved the lighthouses and moved them inland to prevent them from falling into the ocean. Cape Cod is really just a spit of sand.

This all that remains at the Marconi wireless site - a faded diaroma of the former transmission towers. Nothing really remains except from some mostly covered brick foundations. The rest has eroded away.
